Jacksonville Country Club is looking to hire a full or part time Turf Equipment Technician to join our team. Starting pay is $15 to $20 per hour. The right candidate would be able to learn under our current mechanic who will be turning 86 years old this year. Hours would be 6am to 2pm daily. 

The Turf Technician would be responsible for the following: 

Repair & Maintenance: 

• Inspect, service, and repair all golf course equipment including mowers, tractors, utility carts, aerators, and small engines.

Preventive Programs: 

• Develop and follow scheduled preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime. 

Sharpening & Adjustments: 

• Maintain reel mowers, bedknives, and rotary blades or precise cutting quality. 

Inventory Management: 

• Track parts, tools, and supplies; work with Superintendent to order as needed. 

Recordkeeping: 

• Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and safety checks for all equipment. 

Shop Safety: 

• Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. 

Team Support: 

• Assist grounds crew with equipment operation training and provide input on best practices.
