As our club continues to grow, we’re seeking passionate and driven professionals to join our agronomy team. 


Position Summary: 

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Assistant Superintendent to play a key leadership role in the day-to-day maintenance and long-term development of the golf course. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, is detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in turf management. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Superintendent and DOA in all aspects of course maintenance and agronomic planning 
  • Supervise, train, and lead a talented crew with professionalism and efficiency 
  • Maintain and monitor irrigation systems and ensure proper water management 
  • Scout and diagnose turf issues including pests, disease, and stress 
  • Oversee chemical and fertilizer applications, including calibration and record-keeping 
  • Contribute to budgeting, planning, and capital improvement projects 
  • Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance across the department 
  • Foster a team-first culture and serve as a mentor for crew development


Qualifications: 

  • Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field 
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance 
  • South Carolina Pesticide License (or ability to obtain within 90 days) 
  • Proven leadership and communication skills 
  • Ability to operate and train staff on a wide variety of turf equipment 
  • Passion for the game of golf and course presentation
