Second Assistant Superintendent

Starmount Forest Country Club is in search of a motivated, career driven individual for the role of Second Assistant Superintendent. The candidate will play an integral part of daily operations, gaining hands on experience and further developing their career.

About Starmount Forest Country Club

SFCC opened in 1930 and has hosted some of golf’s most notable historical players.  The club began co-hosting the PGA Tour’s Greater Greensboro Open (now the Wyndham Championship) in 1938 and continued until 1960.  During those tournament years Sam Snead, Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan were victorious at this Open Tournament.  The club hosted the second US Women’s Open in 1947 and currently plays host to various CGA and CPGA events regularly.

Starmount Forest Country Club just completed a restoration project in 2025 that was done by well-known local golf course architect, Kris Spence.  During this restoration, bunkers were repositioned to accommodate today’s driving distances, greens were recontoured to get back to a classical style golf course.  The course was completely regressed with newer varieties of turfgrass and a new irrigation system was installed.
