Job Title: Head Mechanic 

Location: Carolina Colours Golf Club 

Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours 

Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent

Job Summary:

Carolina Colours Golf Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Golf Course Mechanic to maintain and repair turf equipment and small engines. This unique opportunity entails maintaining golf course equipment as well as the equipment for the HOA landscaping team. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and consistently to support top-tier course conditions.  

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive/routine maintenance and repair on golf course equipment including mowers, zero turn mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, blowers, and small engines. 
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory. 
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment. 
• Sharpen and adjust cutting units to ensure quality of cut. 
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance facility. 
• Order and inventory parts and supplies as needed. 
• Assist with equipment setup to optimize performance for daily operations and course conditions. 
• Reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Mechanical experience with turf or agricultural equipment preferred. 
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, welding, and small engine repair. 
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics. 
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. 
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
