Head Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club of Newberry is currently looking to fill the position for a head golf course superintendent. The head golf course superintendent will report directly to Pro/Manager. He/She will work closely and will coordinate with the Pro/Manager on any issues related to the golf course maintenance schedules, trains, supervises, and evaluates all staff assigned to the maintenance department.
- Participate in the application and recording of chemical applications.
- Maintains records and completes required reporting on all equipment repairs and service.
- Generally, supervise the operation off all equipment repairs.
- Make recommendations to Pro/Manager to purchase or replace major equipment and golf course improvements.
- Make all irrigation repairs in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the Pro/Manager when the course should be closed due to weather conditions.
- Operate within the budget as approved for the current fiscal year.
- Train staff on safe and proper use on all maintenance equipment.
- Conducts other appropriate tasks assigned by the Pro / Manager.
- Attend Monthly board meetings and give a monthly report.
