Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center is looking for a positive individual with a good attitude to join our Agronomy Team as the Players Course Superintendent. This key role provides an opportunity for professional growth and development within a dynamic golf course maintenance operation. The Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Agronomy to help plan and execute short-term and long-term goals and will contribute to team-wide success by assisting with operations on either golf course as needed and supporting large-scale projects. The Golf Course Superintendent is an essential position within the department whose input will be expected and valued.
Specifically related to the Position:
- Daily course setup and inspection, ensuring peak playability and presentation standards
- Supervise the staff and delegate specific tasks and responsibilities
- Instruct and train equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment
- Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of irrigation/drainage systems
- Operate multiple types of equipment as needed
- Water and moisture management
- Chemical and fertilizer planning and applications
- Maintain proper record keeping
- Hold a Certified Pesticide Applicator’s License
- Monitor inventory of fertilizer/pesticides, irrigation parts, safety apparel, and other related supplies
- Assist in implementing maintenance programs set by the Director of Agronomy
- Solve problems and navigate complex variable situations
- Possess mechanical aptitude
- Be detail-oriented, task-driven, and have a sharp eye for improving course quality
- Communicate effectively with Director of Agronomy and operations teams
Education, Knowledge, Training:
- 3+ years of golf course maintenance experience
- 2- or 4-year degree in Agronomy, Turf Management, or related field
Position Benefits:
- Full-Time, Salaried Position ($50,000 - $65,000 DOE)
