Golf Course Equipment Mechanic
Golf Course Equipment Mechanic
Linville Land Harbor is a semi-private, homeowner-owned, 18-hole golf course and subdivision in Avery County, North Carolina. The golf course and 750-acre community sit between the towns of Pineola and Linville. We are currently in search of a mechanic to manage and maintain our mostly green fleet of John Deere equipment.
We operate in a low-key, low-pressure environment while still maintaining the golf course to high standards for our members and non-member guests alike. We have recently invested a large amount of capital in the mechanic's work area and tools, including brand new reel & bedknife grinders, a Golf-Lift, a new parts room, and improvements to the building. Most tools will be provided.
LLHGC is a seasonal operation, with the golf course open from early April until Thanksgiving. This position is full-time, year-round, which gives the mechanic a nice off-season for repairs and maintenance on equipment before the upcoming season.
Benefits for full-time employees include:
- Health, dental, and vision insurance (100% paid premium for the employee)
- Life insurance, as well as short and long-term disability
- 401K program participation with company match
- Uniform/clothing allowance
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- Paid dues in approved, professional organizations
- Paid registrations and expenses for approved classes and continuing education events
Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter via email to Michael Hayes, Golf Course Superintendent. Email address: michael.hayes@landharbor.com. Other job-related inquiries are welcome. Please see below for a job description related to the position.
