Yeamans Hall is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in the daily upkeep of all golf course equipment, landscape equipment and various utility and passenger vehicles as well as some construction (land moving) equipment. This person will work alongside the equipment manager and support the mechanical needs of the supervisors and crews. This person’s primary responsibility will be to provide dependable and efficient equipment and to keep all cutting equipment sharp and serviced. 

Educational Requirements 

•  High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Experience Requirements 
•  Two years’ experience maintaining golf and grounds equipment or small engine shop experience 
•  Working Knowledge of gasoline, diesel and battery-operated equipment 
•  Possess the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics 
•  Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. 

Special Requirements Assist in all servicing and repairs of all golf course and grounds maintenance equipment to include but not limited to: 

•  Assist in the preventative maintenance of all gasoline (2 & 4 cycle) and diesel engine machines 
•  Maintain cutting performance on all rotary and reel mowers 
•  Maintain a safe and clean work area inside and outside of the shop 
•  Assist in training all crew members with the proper and safe way to operate equipment 
•  Work closely with Equipment Manager, Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents in the evaluation and correction of mowing and landscape equipment 
•  Help with the fabrication, welding and repair of machinery as needed 
•  Must work some extended hours and weekends during golf course closures and events
