Responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager in the repair and maintenance of various diesel and gasoline powered equipment, the daily set up of all needed machinery, and work within preventive maintenance protocols & guidelines.

Job Functions: 

• Inspects, diagnoses and repairs various golf course and landscape equipment to ensure proper performance; mowers, utility carts, tractors, rollers, sprayers and small engine tools
• Checks equipment for performance on the course and makes emergency repairs when needed
• Communicates any and all equipment related problems and maintenance issues to leadership
• Setup, modifies and services cutting equipment as directed
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and ensures that all equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Instructs and/or trains golf course maintenance workers regarding the safe operating procedures and cleaning of equipment
• Assists with organizing and general maintenance facility cleaning

Job Requirements:

• Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment
• Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate repair
• Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools
• Working knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to weld or be trained
• Maintain clean and well-organized work area
• Ability to work long hours in a variety of weather conditions
• Strong work ethic
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and written. 

Additional Responsibilities:  

• Spanish Speaking skills considered a plus.
• Knowledge of the game of golf and understand how job performance affects playing conditions on the course
• Must be ready and willing to work in all types of conditions and environments: Extreme heat/cold, wet & rainy, loud/noisy conditions.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
