Pine Island Country Club is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Golf Course Equipment Technician to support daily maintenance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all turf equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and ready for use to uphold the club’s high course standards at one of Charlotte’s premier golf facilities.

Position Overview

The Golf Course Equipment Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of all golf course maintenance equipment. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and grounds team, this position supports efficient operations through preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment training.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain golf course equipment including:
  • Reel and rotary mowers
  • Tractors
  • Utility vehicles
  • Small engines
• Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, blade grinding/sharpening, and routine equipment inspections
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate ordering of supplies
• Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
• Assist the Superintendent and grounds team with equipment training and troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance facility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in turf equipment, small engine, or diesel repair
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and time-management skills
• Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a golf course or country club environment
• Familiarity with equipment brands such as Toro, John Deere, and Kubota
