The Equipment Manager is responsible for a comprehensive and preventative maintenance program. The Equipment Manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Superintendent. The Equipment Manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and the maintenance building. 

Equipment & Shop Management

• Implement and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program for all golf course equipment 

• Diagnose and repair diesel, gas, and turf maintenance equipment 

• Maintain detailed service records for parts, repairs, and labor 

• Conduct reel grinding, blade sharpening, and equipment adjustments to ensure peak performance 

• Spot check equipment on the course to ensure optimal height of cut and operational efficiency 

• Ability to supervise and teach technicians. 

• Purchase repair parts and maintains shop supplies 

• Help with training of equipment operators 

• Good communication skills with employees and management 

• Good personality and ability to constructively guide staff with suggestions.
