Equipment Manager

Tillery Tradition is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment. The Equipment Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery is operational and safe, coordinating preventative maintenance, and working closely with the groundskeeping team to ensure the course is maintained to the highest standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain, repair, and service a variety of golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, aerators, and small tools. 
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs promptly to minimize equipment downtime. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and equipment performance logs. 
  •  Ensure equipment meets all safety standards and regulations, conducting regular inspections and tests. 
  •  Collaborate with the Superintendent and grounds crew to prioritize equipment needs and repairs, ensuring the course is maintained in top condition. 
  • Train staff on the proper use and care of equipment. 
  • Order parts and supplies as needed, managing inventory to ensure critical components are always in stock. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop. 


Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant vocational training preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a golf course or landscaping setting. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines. 
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues across various equipment types. 
  • Knowledge of turf management equipment and its use in maintaining golf courses. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the groundskeeping team. 
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
