Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) seeks an instructor and program coordinator for the USGA Greenkeeper Apprenticeship Program (GAP). 

The USGA’s purpose is to UNIFY the golf community, SHOWCASE the golfers who inspire us, GOVERN the sport to ensure a solid foundation, and ADVANCE the good of the game for the next 100 years and beyond. The USGA Greenkeeper Apprenticeship Program is a professional development experience that integrates the theories behind golf course management with experiential learning opportunities at golf course facilities to transform the careers of golf course maintenance professionals. 

The successful candidate will hold the responsibility of delivering the GAP experience that includes but is not limited to classroom instruction and work-based learning at HGTC’s Turf Care and Demonstration Center. This individual will work collaborative with the Golf and Sports Turf Management faculty and report to the (Chair of Golf and Sports Turf Management).
