About Green Valley Country Club:

Green Valley Country Club, a private 18-hole George Cobb–designed course, is seeking a motivated Assistant-in-Training to join our golf course maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about turf management and pursuing a long-term career in the golf course industry. With recent and upcoming investments in both the clubhouse and golf course, this is a chance to be part of an exciting period of growth and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents in all aspects of daily course maintenance.
• Operate and maintain a wide range of turf equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform chemical and fertilizer applications under supervision.
• Assist with irrigation repair, troubleshooting, and water management practices.
• Monitor course conditions and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Lead small crews and help train seasonal staff.
• Participate in major cultural practices such as aerification, topdressing, and overseeding.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and advance in the turf industry.
• Previous golf course or turf maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Turfgrass Management program preferred, but open to candidates with related backgrounds.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
