Ballantyne Country Club is currently accepting resumes for Assistant Superintendent. Ballantyne Country Club is an 18 private family-oriented club in south Charlotte. The course is a Rees Jones design, originally opened in 1996. In 2015 the course underwent a renovation project that allowed us to resurface greens, rebuild bunkers adding the Better Billy Bunker drainage system, upgrades to the irrigation system, new cart paths and rebuilding and re-grassing tee tops, plus increased areas to our practice facilities. The club is managed by Century Golf Partners, which operates multiple properties nationwide. The candidate we are searching for is one that is initiative-taking, enjoys their work, self-starter, and genuinely enjoys what they do and the game of golf.

The ideal candidate would be able to:

· Work alongside the Superintendent to build and implement a maintenance plan for the property while working to strive for the course to be always in peak condition.

· Lead a team of maintenance staff through motivation, training, and feedback to achieve the standards desired.

· Work with Superintendent, other Assistant, and other departments throughout the club to help provide exceptional unique events for members and guests.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year experience as Assistant Superintendent or equivalent preferred.

· Degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture or in a similar field preferred.

· Strong organizational and communication skillset.

· Known to be a leader.

· Experience with and familiar with proper procedures applying fertilizers and pesticides.

· Irrigation repairs and maintenance experience preferred.

· Familiar with a wide variety of course maintenance equipment.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Valid pesticide applicators license or the ability to obtain one.
