Cowans Ford Golf Club is a private 18-hole facility located on the southwest side of Lake Norman in Stanley, North Carolina. The course was developed shortly after Lake Norman was completed in 1962, when Duke Energy employees sought a nearby golf course close to the dam. Construction was completed in 1963, officially establishing Cowans Ford Golf Club. In 2002, the course underwent a redesign and renovation by golf course architect Kris Spence. Spence returned again in 2023 to oversee a second major renovation, during which the greens were converted from A-4 Bentgrass to TifEagle bermudagrass, and capillary concrete was installed in the bunkers. 

Education / Experience Requirements: 

• Graduate or currently enrolled in Turfgrass Management program 
• Pesticide Applicator License (Or willingness to obtain if not currently licensed) 
• A minimum of one year golf course experience is required 

Job Expectations / Requirements: 

• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities 
• Ability to work closely with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents 
• Must have valid Driver's License 
• Additional requirements and expectations will be discussed during interview process
