The Links Course at Wild Dunes Resort is seeking a motivated, passionate Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our leadership team. Designed by Tom Fazio, the Links Course is one of the most recognizable coastal golf courses in the country, offering a unique opportunity to manage in a dynamic and challenging oceanside environment. The course is renowned for its exceptional conditioning and memorable Atlantic Ocean finishing holes.


This position is ideal for someone looking to grow professionally while working alongside an experienced management team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of daily golf course maintenance.
  • Supervise and develop a highly motivated maintenance team.
  • Assist with irrigation scheduling, repair, and water management.
  • Monitor turf health and participate in fertility and plant protectant programs.
  • Help coordinate daily course setup to provide exceptional playing conditions.
  • Train employees in equipment operation and safe work practices.
  • Maintain application and maintenance records.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday management rotations.
  • Assist with tournament preparation and special projects.


Equipment & Technology

  • Toro leased equipment fleet
  • Toro Lynx Central Control irrigation system
  • Toro Infinity and Toro T7 sprinkler heads
  • Watertronics pump station


Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
  • Previous golf course maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of warm-season turfgrass management.
  • Experience with irrigation troubleshooting is preferred.
  • South Carolina pesticide license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to advance within the golf course management profession.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
