Cedar Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, Arthur Hills-designed championship course nestled in the heart of Aiken, South Carolina. The course recently underwent a significant renovation and is now under new ownership as of June. With a commitment to ongoing course improvements, we are increasing our annual maintenance budget and investing in capital upgrades year over year. Position Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our growing agronomic team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to expand their responsibilities and eventually move into a superintendent role. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure optimal playing conditions, assist with daily operations, and help lead a team during this exciting new chapter for the club. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in daily course maintenance and setup 
• Supervise and train maintenance staff 
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed 
• Monitor irrigation systems and assist with water management 
• Help implement renovation and improvement projects 
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations 
• Provide input on agronomic planning, budgeting, and equipment needs

Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in golf course maintenance (assistant-level experience preferred) 
• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field (preferred but not required) 
• South Carolina Pesticide Applicator’s License or ability to obtain within 90 days 
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass practices, irrigation systems, and equipment operation 
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented leadership 
• Willingness to contribute ideas and grow within a dynamic team environment
