Olde Eight is a premier golf experience with exclusive amenities, recreational opportunities, and nature all on beautiful Lake Greenwood in South Carolina. We have purchased what was known as The Links at Stoney Point and are redeveloping the golf course and many other aspects of the club to become Olde Eight, and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Superintendent to help us bring our vision for golf greatness to life.

To achieve our vision of greatness, we are making numerous significant enhancements for the Olde Eight Grounds Team to be successful which will include: expansion and renovation of the maintenance facility with new grinders and golf lifts, Tifeagle greens and Tahoma 31 on tees, fairways, and rough; new fleet of John Deere equipment (4-year lease), new Rainbird irrigation system with the latest equipment and technologies and New Watertronics pumpstation. 

Position Overview:

The Assistant Superintendent will report directly to the Superintendent and Director of Golf Course & Grounds. This role involves managing a team of over 20 staff members, overseeing pesticide use, work schedules, irrigation, budgets, equipment, and safety training. The ideal Assistant Superintendent for Olde Eight will confidently assist in managing the maintenance and renovation of the golf course and surrounding grounds at Olde Eight. As Olde Eight is undergoing a complete golf course redesign, the Assistant Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring that pesticide application, and irrigation and turf maintenance align with Olde Eight’s high standards while providing leadership and hands-on management of the day-to-day operations.
