Jefferson Landing, an award-winning golf course nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and High Country of North Carolina, is seeking a course Assistant Superintendent. 

The resort community includes an impeccably manicured 18-hole golf course with bent grass fairways, tees, and greens and a new state-of-the-art practice facility. In addition to our existing four-hole short course we will be opening an additional three holes of short course and a Himalayas putting green in late spring. Recently, the back nine and portions of the front have been renovated with work continuing in the spring. 

General job description: 

• Works under the direction of the Superintendent and under basic supervision will assist with the managing of staff, training, and special projects. 
• The candidate must have an enthusiastic team-oriented attitude. 
• He/she should be able to schedule and direct the crew so that tasks are executed accurately and in a timely manner. 
• The Assistant should be able to substitute without disruption for the Superintendent in his absence. 
• Will be able to calibrate sprayers and fertilize spreaders 
• Maintains chemical storage building and mixing area 
• Apply fertilizers correctly 
• Maintain proper recordkeeping 
• Maintain state pesticide license Repairs and maintenance of irrigation system 
• Deep watering greens, tees, and fairways 
• Wilt watching Course setup
